Iran: no oil output freeze until it restores pre-sanctions level

Iran won’t consider a Crude oil production freeze until it reaches its pre-sanctions level of output of 4.2 million barrels a day, a senior energy official said Thursday.

Mehdi Hosseini, who heads the oil contracts revision committee at Iran’s Petroleum Ministry, said a freeze at anything less than that would be a continuation of the sanctions imposed on his country as a result of its disputed nuclear program.

“Our pre-sanction production was something around 4.2 (million barrels per day), and our exports was something around 2.5, 2.6 (million barrels per day) or so” Hosseini said on the margins of an oil conference in Paris. “Therefore any other figure less than that it means another sanction against ourselves. It is something we cannot accept.”

OMB Valves to open new plant in Korea

OMB Valves to open new plant in Korea

OMB, the Italian manufacturer of valves for the oil and gas industry, announced plans to operate a new manufacturing facility in the Republic of Korea, which will be located in Gimpo, Seoul, region. The new company will be called OMK. Construction is scheduled to begin in early January 2015, and the facility is expected to be fully functional by the end of May 2015.

Nowadays there is an trend require for quicker and quicker deliver  with small and customized order in Valve industry, especially for small sized forged steel valve. Due to limit valve kinds and low unit value compare with large size valves, stock is workable and semi-finished products able for most normal material like A105, 20steel, F304, F316. LF2 and F11, F22, Monel, Duplex steel, Hastelloy alloy are possible when required. Connection: double flanged, socket weld, Threaded, butt weld valves and main four stock type valves.

Aker Solutions wins Heidrun platform equipment frame agreement

Aker Solutions has won a frame agreement from Statoil to supply, refurbish and store compensation equipment used to stabilise and control production risers on the Heidrun platform in the North Sea. The contract value is undisclosed.

Production risers are vertical pipelines between the seabed and a floating production facility. They are used to transport produced hydrocarbons, as well as production materials, such as injection fluids, control fluids and gas lift. IP – Ingress Protection Ratings, also named as International Protection Rating, is used to specify the environmental protection – electrical enclosure – of electrical equipment. like valve electric actuator.

Ingress Protection (IP) ratings are developed by the European Committee for Electro Technical Standardization (CENELEC) (NEMA IEC 60529 Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures – IP Code), specifying the environmental protection the enclosure provides.
